I'm an ex 'townie' now running a small PR and marketing practice in rural Cumbria. There are days when I wonder what on earth I'm doing, and other days when my new life is total bliss.

For example, yesterday, I had two client meetings in Hawkshead. This is the village most famous for its association with Children's author Beatrix Potter. Driving through the Lake District National park to get to Hawkshead beat travelling on the M25 or tube any day.
