Where are your customers coming from?

Just recently I've started to pay more attention to the stats on my website, lets face it we all get complacent from time to time. I've noticed a sudden surge of visitors, which is nice. But the most interesting thing is an analysis of where the traffic is coming from. For the past 4 months, over a third of visitors are coming from my social media accounts - Twitter, Facebook and Linked-in.

So for the doubters out there who don't see the value in spending time developing a profile on social media sites, perhaps now is the time to pay a bit more attention to them. Doing further analysis, I found that those who landed on the site from a social media account, spent far more time reading my content.

To me that's really meaningful information that I can use and further develop. I plan to pay a lot more attention to this in future to see what happens.

Have a nice weekend.
