The most expensive advertising keywords on Google
I found this information on the most expensive keywords on Google which I thought was interesting. The survey was done by a company called Wordstream - so you can get much more information at their site. http://www.wordstream.com/articles/most-expensive-keywords I don't have a breakdown for UK specific terms - but I thought this was valid enough to share anyway.
It's a bizarre list - I don't know what I was expecting to find, but certainly not this. If you think about it, this is a social snapshot of modern society.
Here's a quick run down.
- Insurance - 24% of all Google keywords have insurance and in the US, the highest pay per click rate is around £34.00
- Loans - 12.8% - highest pay per click rate is around £27.50
- Mortgates - 9%, and highest per click rate is around £29.00
- Attorney - 3.6%
- Credit - 3.2%
- Lawyer - 3%
- Donate - 2.5%
- Degree - 2.2%
- Hosting - 2.2%
- Claim - 1.4%
- Conference call - 0.9%
- Trading - 0.8%
- Software - 0.8%
- Recovery - 7%
- Transfer - 0.6%
- Gas/Electricity - 0.6%
- Classes - 0.5%
- Rehab - 0.5%
