The most expensive advertising keywords on Google

I found this information on the most expensive keywords on Google which I thought was interesting. The survey was done by a company called Wordstream - so you can get much more information at their site. http://www.wordstream.com/articles/most-expensive-keywords  I don't have a breakdown for UK specific terms - but I thought this was valid enough to share anyway.

It's a bizarre list - I don't know what I was expecting to find, but certainly not this. If you think about it, this is a social snapshot of modern society.
Here's a quick run down.
  1. Insurance - 24% of all Google keywords have insurance and in the US, the highest pay per click rate is around £34.00
  2. Loans - 12.8% - highest pay per click rate is around £27.50
  3. Mortgates - 9%, and highest per click rate is around £29.00
  4. Attorney - 3.6%
  5. Credit - 3.2%
  6. Lawyer - 3%
  7. Donate - 2.5%
  8. Degree - 2.2%
  9. Hosting - 2.2%
  10. Claim - 1.4%
  11. Conference call - 0.9%
  12. Trading - 0.8%
  13. Software - 0.8%
  14. Recovery - 7%
  15. Transfer - 0.6%
  16. Gas/Electricity - 0.6%
  17. Classes - 0.5%
  18. Rehab - 0.5%
  19. Treatment - 0.3%
  20. Cord blood - 0.2%
